Saying Goodbye to Newcastle and All Things Summer

Skirt - Reclaimed vintage | Top - Urban Outfitters | Coat - Mink Pink (old) .. get the look at glamorous/Boohoo | Necklaces - AsosMissoula | Sunnys - Asos | Socks - Asos | Vans - Vans | Bag - Technic cosmetics

How have we reached the end of summer already?! :( Man time flies by! I mean the thought of colder, darker nights is pretty damn depressing.. am I right? Although I'm not ready to let bikinis, beach days, cocktails in the sun and that summer glow go for the first time in my entire existence I'm actually pretty excited for Halloween, bonfire night, and all the Christmas festivities to begin (mulled wine I'm coming for ya!). No but seriously if you know me well you'll know Christmas is not my favourite time of the year and I'm a summer gal through and through but I'm looking forward to what the end of this year brings!

So before my wardrobe completely transitions into autumn/winter, enjoy one of my last few summer posts (plus a winter shaggy jacket.. because I mean I live in England after all, so who am I kidding if I was to say that I didn't wear a coat throughout most of the summer😁).

Also this was the day I said goodbye to Newcastle (for now😎) where I've spent the last four years of my life at uni.. yup it was a pretty emotional day BUTTT I'm excited for what life brings next...

Its All About The Baker Boy Hat

Dress - Asos | Jacket - Charity shop (sorry guys) | Necklaces - Asos & Missoma | Bag - Technic cosmetics | Vans - Asos (sold out, find here) | Socks - Asos | Sunnys - Asos | Baker hat - Asos

(So by looking above and in most blog posts I'm clearly obsessed with Asos but I mean you can't beat that free next day delivery life)

Okay.. MAJORRR HAT OBSESSION!! If you follow me on Instagram (@amyhallimond) then you'll already know this, but I'm literally living in it atm! Ok, ok so I know I'm late to the party with the whole baker boy hat trend but I was less than eager to try it out after the whole cap trend. I mean you see all these amazing girls rocking a good cap on insta, well... (picture a dad at a family party on the bbq and yuppp that was me alright, so it's safe to say my cap went straight in the back of my wardrobe). However, I can happily say I'm loving the baker hat.. maybe even a little too much I mean I think my hair will be permanently flat when I ever decide to stop wearing it😬😬. So I picked up these beauty of a dress from asos and it was instantly a massive win!! How fabulous are the colours?? It reminds me of a candy shop which I am all about.. who doesn't love a candy shop right? So here I've teamed it with this cute little nanas jacket I picked up for a steal in a charity shop in Leeds, but I also can't wait to pair it with a cute little jumper over the top for a different look all together. Obviously it would look great on it own too but if you know me you know I love to layer and experiment with different prints so I've got a few other ideas of how I'd love to style this dress!

Oh &&& how fabulous is this little unicorn esk holographic bag.. which is actually a makeup bag from technic cosmetics but works fab as a clutch style bag to jazzz up any outfit!

SUMMER SUNSHINE

Jumpsuit - Urban outfitters | Belt - Vintages rags (similar) | Denim Jacket - Vintage | Necklace - Topshop | Vans - Asos | Sunnys - River island

How's everyone’s summer going so far?? And how are we already into August?! Summers go by way TOO fast, how crazy fast has this one gone by already? and I'm so not ready for it to be over anytime soon!

Anyway, enough moaning. Moving on to this fabulous jumpsuit - I mean need I say anymore? it’s just a DREAM! When I first saw this beauty hung up in urban outfitters I was automatically drawn to this dreamy orange colour, a little bit more pricey than I would have liked to have paid but it was literally love at first sight (ok, so I may not actually believe in love at first sight when it comes to guy, well at least not yet anyways but clothes... when it comes to clothes I’m definitely a believer!) I just think it’s so unique and like nothing I’ve previously owned, so of course I simply couldn't resist (I couldn't help it... I’m weak ok hah!) However, fast forward a few weeks and I have no regrets! Its became such a huge staple in my wardrobe and I have so many different ideas of how to style this up! (I'm thinking of doing a '4 different ways to style a jumpsuit' post soon so keep an eye out for this beauty again!)

So yes this was a pretty hot day, one of only a few we've seen this year (pros of living in England right -.-πŸ˜‘ ) so I just styled this baby up pretty simple and popped on my vans to add a relaxed chilled feel to this look.

Ohh and then drank endless amounts of cocktails in the sun... what a great day!

One walk... Two very different outfits

Trousers - Zara (sold out.. similar here) | Swimsuit - Asos | Shirt - Dog & Bone Vintage | Vans - Asos | Bag - Gran-Canaria | Necklace - Topshop | Sunny's - River Island

So these trousers have been a favourite of mine for a while now. I love the fact that you can dress them up with a little crop top and some platforms or dress them down (in my case here) with a funky body and a shirt.. suitable for any occasion! So I actually wore this outfit to go for a lovely summers day walk in with my bestie, and you can clearly see from the bottom picture that we both have very different ideas of 'let's go for a walk' outfits haha! I also apparently can't get enough of this swimsuit, yup I wear it with just about everything! (clearly still not over the holiday)

Sorry its just a quick post today as I'm super busy.. But how fabulous is this top?? (If only it was mine - yup it's the brothers.. all the clothes without the price tag is ok with me haha!) So I didn't actually plan on this outfit being so YELLOW but I think it works really well and it is summer after all.. even if England doesn't know it!

HOLIDAY NIGHT VS HOLIDAY DAY outfit

Skirt - Asos | Top - Asos (similar) | Shoes - Asos (similar) | Belt - Vintages rags (similar) |

Okay back to the holiday outfits and for this post I thought I'd add in a quick little snap of what I wore during the day too! So I'm really loving a yellow/black combination atm as I just think it's such a hot colour combo, perfect to rock throughout this summer... Oh and did I mention it looks fabulous with a tan? Win win! Also, for those of you guys who picture black and yellow and instantly think bumble bee.. put those images aside and rock this look with confidence because honestly it's such an easy combination to pull off and will have you loooooking fierce through summer!!

Fly Away / Airport style

Trousers - Charity shop (Similar here) | Tee - Zara (sold out but find here) | Vans - Asos | Necklace - Topshop | Sunnys - River Island | Bag - Gran Canaria

Ok, so let's forget for a minute that I'm actually incapable of planing my holiday outfits from beginning to end in a fairly chronological order, and rewind to the beginning of the holiday.. THE AIRPORT - I mean everybody loves a good airport outfit, right? And who doesn't love the airport? (on the way there that is) .. cocktails before you fly, a good nosey around duty free, your whole holiday ahead of you to look forward too, it's great! (The way back, not so great) So yeah, I mean you've got to think your outfit through, you want to be comfy - MAIN GOAL -while still looking stylish and rocking that whole Victoria Beckham chić look! So for me, these trousers were the perfect match and ticked all the right boxes. Next, pair with a comfy vintage looking tee (that's actually from zara) whack an over the top pair of sunnys on (because who doesn't like to look a bit extra in the airport? Haha! .. I mean It's your perfect opportunity to go all out Kardashian) Then lastly, finish off the look with some comfy shoes and a bag (that you battle with all day) big enough to fit in all that unnecessary crap you couldn't fit in your suitcase because you're already overweight.. (because a girl (or guy) can never have too much stuff right?) Thus a perfect airport outfit is born!
