Kimono's all year around

Jeans - Topshop | Tee - Primark | Kimono - Kiss The Sky brand, Ark | Belt - Vintageous rags | Necklaces - Urban outfitters, Shop Little O and Ebay | Hat - Missguided | Bag - Lamoda | Shoes - The WhitePepper

Ahhh uni atm, its actually a living hell! What with lab reports after lab reports, 7 hour lab days and timed essays. My life consists of eating, working and sleeping :(:( I'm going to try my hardest to get as many blogs posted as I can, but the next two weeks are just hectic!! So I dunno about you guys but I'm literally counting down the days until summer, the sun, no uni work, summer clothes, nothing sounds more perfect right now!!

Kimonos aren't just for summer, and I've already started wearing mine! How amazing is this one?! Definitely one of my faves if not my favourite! The colours and detailing on it are just beautiful! So as it's still not quite warm enough to combine bare legs and kimono's I paired it with my black mom jeans and a grey tee for a more wearable everyday look!

Evil Eye

Jeans - Topshop | Top - Style | Boots - Thewhitepepper | Belt - Vinatgeous rags | Necklaces - ebay, urban outfitters and topshop | Hat - Missguided | Bag - La moda

This outfit was kind of a last minute throw it on we need to be out the door in 10 minutes, spontaneous plans kind of outfit haha. One minute I'm sat on my bed scrolling endlessly up instagram on my phone and the next im sat in evil eye in york. Last minute plans are always the best and I just love how you never know what's around the corner!! I'm deffs not a planner, mostly because i'm a very unorganised person but also because I just think that living in the moment gain's you so many more experiences and opportunities throughout your life.

Okay, moving on to the light hearted chit chat, so yeah I had such a fab day shopping, eating, drinking cocktails and then even more eating.. we must of had about 3 different lunches haha, but I just love me some fooood!! so as I said this was a very last minute plan and I really didn't have too long to get ready, so I went for a casual/ rock style outfit and I think its one of my faves!! I'm actually wearing my brothers top here, I've had my eyes on it for a while now so when I got the chance too I snapped it up and I love the way it looks with my mom jeans and chunky boots. I wore my black fedora, I'm not sure what it is on me but I just find a hat always completes my look and if you don't have much time to do anything with your hair, whack a hat on and believe me it works wonders!

Easy quick hairstyle

Scroll to the bottom for a step by step guide on how I created this look..

Scroll to the bottom for a step by step guide on how I created this look..

Okay, so I thought I'd do a different kind of post today, just to change things up a little from my usual 'purely fashion based' outfit posts. (Some of these pictures were a bit close for comfort haa, but the outfit I'm wearing in these pictures will be up on the blog soon and I didn't want to give too much of it away in this post!) I'm thinking of incorporating a few different posts like this into my blog from time to time to mix things up a little, what do you guys think?

So onto the hair,, I'm all for long locks, in fact the longer the better as far as I'm concerned.. well within in reason!! (I can imagine stepping all over your hair is just not a good look and really annoying too hehee!) So yesss I love me some long hair, but sometimes you just need a change. I also think shorter hair can really frame your face too and sometimes complement the angels of your face better than longer hair can, as in some occasions and I've had a few, I've felt as if longer hair sometimes just washes me out if that makes sense and can drag my face down. However a lot of it is dependant upon the shape of your face, as shorter bob style's run the risk of making your face look more rounded, whereas a longer style can really slim down the face. So its just about working with what best suits your face shape or mainly just whichever style you prefer!! If you love something whether its your hair, clothes, weight whatever and feel comfortable and happy in your self then **** what anyone else thinks right?!!

I understand that this hairstyle is very different, as you've got the pony tail going on at the back and a bob style going on it the front and it might not be everyones cup of tea - but I really like this hairstyle on me and its just really nice to completely change the whole look and style of your hair sometimes! The best thing about this is that it only takes a few minutes to do and it looks like you've had a complete hair makeover.. keep reading girls to find out how to achieve this look..

HAIR TRANSFORMATION!!

1). First, you want to make sure your hair has some waves going on and that its not completely straight. My hair was pretty wavy before I started, but I just quickly put a few curls through it using just a really standard curling wand, (I think mine was only £20 from Argos a few years back and its still going strong!!) to introduce extra bounce to my hair. I also curled a few pieces of the hair at the front of my head to frame my face and clipped in a few extensions to add more volume and length to my hair - (I used Bellami hair extensions in the colour 'Ash blonde #60' for this look)

2). So start by tying your hair in a really loose ponytail at the back of your neck/top back, (using a big scrunchy if possible as oppose to a thin bobble, it just makes it a lot easier and I personally think it looks better as it gives it a more effortless look!) making sure to not pull your hair all the way through the bobble on last pull through to create this half bun, half ponytail look.

If you don't like this half bun/half ponytail look at the back of your head and want a full on bob.. Just use a thin bobble instead of a scrunchy, tying your hair into a small tight bun at the back of your neck and tuck it fully under your hair, securing it with some bobby pins and then continue with the steps below.. (when I walked down stairs after doing this my dad genuinely thought I'd hair my hair cut off, hehe!!)

3). Next, start to pull and loosen the front pieces of hair around your face, being careful not to pull pieces of your hair fully out of your bobble. By doing this it creates this tucked under, thick voluminous look. (If you have them awkward pieces of hair that are just too too short to keep tucked in your bobble, but too long to dangle down round your face, then just grip these up with bobby pins positioning your hair where and how you'd like it too look.)

4). Now to make it look more natural, just pull out a few wispy shorter layers of hair around your face and the sides of your hair and your done

I hope you all enjoyed

Spice up your wardrobe essentials in a few simple steps..

FINISHED LOOK

STARTING WITH A SIMPLE WHITE TEE, RIPPED JEANS AND MY DOCS..

ADDING A WAISTCOAT, SOME JEWELLERY AND SPARKLY SOCKS AND WALAAAAAAAAA...
(Completely transformed look!!)

Tee - Topshop | Ripped Jeans - Topshop | Waistcoat - Ebay | Belt - My grandads | Socks - Topshop | Boots - Docs | Hat - accessorize | Necklace - Topshop and Shop Little O.

Okay, so I know its not rocket science to whack on a waistcoat, some jewellery and sparkly socks. but its the little things like this that take a few more minutes and brain activity(which I lack a lot of when my alarm goes off at half 7) on a morning, that really do help completely transform an outfit!! Taking it from, 'you look like you've just thrown on the first things you could get your hands on' to 'damnn girl, who are you trying to impress today?' hahaa you get the gist though right?!

If I've ever completely overslept for uni, or spent too long watching the tv eating my breakie and have literally no time to get ready(which seems to happen way too often for my liking) I'll always start with the basics! By throwing something simple on, whether its black jeans and a white tee like above, or a denim skirt and a turtleneck, just taking a few more seconds to put on some jewellery, layer up on your cardi's, pull on some interesting socks, whack a hat on, or by just simply wearing a scarf, you can completely transform the whole look of an outfit with hardly any time or effort.

So above I started with a pretty simple look, throwing on some staple jeans, a simple white tee, and docs. Then by adding a quirky waistcoat, a few necklaces, and some sparkly socks, I completely spiced up the whole look of these wardrobe essentials within a matter of minutes.

Ohh and how cool is this waistcoat?? another one of my many ebay bargains! (and if anyone's interested it was only £3 :):):)!!)

I hope you all enjoyed this different kind of post.

Maxi dresses all year round!

Dress - Depop (no label) | Coat - Vintage shop in Bradford(similar equally beautiful vintage coat here) | Hat - Accessorize(sold out but some similar fedora's here) | Belt - My grandads | Boots - Docs | Necklace - Topshop and Shop Little O

I found this little beauty of a dress on depop a few months ago and just never got around to blogging it until now. I'm not a massive maxi dress wearer but this one is just perfect for me! I love the casual, effortless, vintage look to it, which is something you don't usual associate with a maxi dress. Although I wish it was warm enough to wander about in a short sleeve maxi, I'm just a few months too early :( so to keep me from freezing my 'bum' off, I paired it with my amazing vintage sheep skin coat. I wore my docs to keep the whole vintage grunge vibe going on and once again I'm wearing my green fedora hat, what can I say, I love it, I'm obsessed with it, I just cant stop wearing it and I wont apologise for it, hahah!

I shake it off, I shake it off

Dress - Ark | Bag - Market (exact same here) | Hat - Accessorize | Boots - The WhitePepper | Necklaces - Shop Little O, Topshop

I wore this dress last weekend to my cousin's engagement party and danced the night away, with a little help of a few.. Well a lot of drinks!! (We were celebrating right?). Now I just can't wait for her wedding and I'm lucky enough to be one of her bridesmaids.. Ahhh so excited!! I've always wanted to be a bridesmaid haha (fact about me of the day). Okay so I'm going to shut up babbling on about my life now.

I've been eyeing up this baby (dress) for a while now and when it dropped to an amazing £15 in the sale, I just had to have it!! (so its now magically gone up £2 in the last few days, don't know why, but thats still a massive save from its original £39.99). The tassel detailing on the arms is beautiful and in my opinion Its just the most perfect, effortless, little black dress. I paired it with my 'old favourite' black platform boots, this sexy bag to add extra tassel, (cause a girl can never have too much tassels going on) and the perfect amount of necklaces!!
