Halloween Costume

Top (scarf) - Primark | Head scarf - TJ Huges | Bottoms - Barefoot in the Park | Head Chains - Primark | Hair ties - Topshop | Belts - Charity Shop | Gold Cuff - Topshop | Gold chain arm bracelet - Primark | Shoes - Egypt
Ahhh who's excited for Halloween??! Not long now!!

First of all can anyone guess what I am? (I really hope at least one person guesses right or I definitely wasted two hours of my life yesterday haha!) So It's always fun to have an excuse to dress up, go abit crazy and have a night out right?..  Anyway every year I always end up going as some sort of dead person which usually involves a lot of fake blood and some extreme back combing!! However this year I wanted to have a lot more fun with my costume and go for something that was a bit different but also had an element of style to it while still being kinda scary at the same time.. So after combining those three characteristics together I came up with the idea of a demented fortune teller.. Did anybody guess right?

So I hope this post was helpful and could possibly be an idea for anyone still undecided on what to dress up.
Have a fab Halloween everyone!!

Simple shirt dresses and statement booties

Dress - Sheinside | Boots - Pretty Little Thing (discontinued) | Hat - Primark | Bag - Egypt

Happy Monday people.. Who's wishing it was the weekend already?? I know I am!! Now I just need to decide on a Halloween costume! Speaking of Halloween.. Who's been watching the new walking dead? I'm obsessed, definitely makes my Monday nights a whole lot better!!

So this was a very last minute, need to be out of the house in 2 minutes outfit and I love it!! Sometimes you can stare at your wardrobe for an hour and still have 'nothing to wear' (we've all been there right?), then other times you just throw on the first things you can get your hands on and BAAAMM.. It's your new fave outfit!

A simple shirt dress, some statement booties and a hat.. quick, easy and fabulous!

Sometimes we're just so set on living that we forget to make a life along the way..

Jumpsuit - Newlook | Top - Urban Outfitters | Leopard Boots - Asos | Bag - La Moda | Belt & Hat - Primark | Necklace - Shop Little O

How great is this jumpsuit?? It's definitely not the sort of thing I'd usually go for which is why I love it so much! I think it's so important to keep changing things up and if there's one thing that I've learned recently its that normality is dangerous and does nothing but kill passion and feed failure! (WAIT? are we still referring to the clothes..) It's so easy to just fall  into the same routine, doing the same things day in and day out that we eventually stop laughing, we stop having picnics in the park, kisses in the rain, stop going on adventures and stay up talking all night, we no longer take late night walks along the beach, drink until the sun comes up or sleep under the night stars, we stop writing love letters, dance in empty fields and sing like one is listening.. Sometimes we're just so set on living that we forget to make a life along the way..

Wow, not too sure were that came from, didn't think I had It in me haha.. Well that was a bit deep for a Thursday afternoon so I'll finish this blog post up on a lighter note and talk about the fact I've only just realised that I'm wearing my UO striped top.. AGAIN! (I literally never take it off haha) but hey, at least you know when I say I love something, I really mean it!

Prints Print PRINTS

Dress - Urban Outfitters (sold out) | Top - Urban Outfitters | Boots - Asos | Bag - La Moda | Jewellery - Shop Little O / eBay

You all know just how much I love my prints atm, so when I saw this dress in urban outfitters a few weeks ago I couldn't leave without it! Even though it's getting bloody cold I'm still not giving in to tights just yet, even if I do freeze haha!

So there's definitely a lot going on in this outfit.. from the leopard print booties, to the crosshatch print dress, to the tassels and striped top, you name it, this outfits got it! So regardless of how dull this weather gets over the next few months my outfits definitely won't be!

When your scrunchie matches your jumper

Jumper - Urban Outfitters (sold out) | Skirt - Topshop | Converse - Schuh | Sunglasses - Newlook (sold out) | Jewellery - Shop Little O / Pretty Twisted | Scrunchie - Disgraceland

So I'm just a little bit obsessed with this jumper right now.. You know when you find that one piece of clothing that is exactly what you've been looking for? I mean it just has that whole vintage/retro 70's feel to it, which I just can't seem to get enough of right now! It's definitely an A/W favourite of mine and I'm sure it'll be making another appearance on the blog!

So I wore this outfit exploring the beautiful streets of York, finding yummy restaurants and drinking too many cocktails.

Ohh and how well does my scrunchie match? It was definitely meant to be hahaa!

Geeeeek Chic

Jumper - Urban Outfitters | Skirt - Topshop (similar) | Shoes - Docs | Hat - Zara |  Scarf - TJ Huges | Bag - Given to me by my Nana | Fishnet socks - eBay | Rings - Bohomoon | Necklace - Gift from New Zealand

I FINALLY own a pair of Dr marten shoes.. Eeeeek! I've wanted some docs for ages now but let's be honest, I spend too much money on clothes and cocktails each month to be able to afford them hahaa! So when I saw these babies on Depop for only £35 I nearly died! :O:O HOW freaaaakin' amazing right?! Gotta love a bloody good bargain!!

I'm very low in the funds department atm so I'm currently on a spending ban which was actually going pretty well until last weekend, paying to get my iPhone fixed definitely did not help situations hahaa.. Talk about bad luck! My iPhone had to break this weekend didn't it :( so what better way to cheer yourself up than a little retail therapy eyy? I mean this scarf was far too beautiful to just walk past.. It was definitely one of those 'IT HAS TO BE MINE' moments and for only £6 too, how could I say no?

My inspiration for this outfit was based on one of this seasons current fashion trends - Geek Chic, which I'm absolutely LOVIN' atm and it seems so are celebs such as the amazing Kendal Jenner and Gigi Hadid who have recently been seen sporting the Geek Chic trend over fashion week ( Hmm if only we could all look like supermodels eyy.. The dream!).
